Memorial day is so much more than a day for backyard BBQ's and shopping for bargains!
Memorial Day is a day to mourn and honor the memory of men and woman who died while serving in the United States military services. It's a day of reflection, remembrance and grief for many veterans and families of service men and woman who died to ensure our freedom.
While we are duty bound to honor these brave men and woman, Memorial Day can bring up sad and painful memories for the people who were left behind. So, please be sensitive and tolerant and resist the temptation to treat the day in a celebratory manner with a well intentioned" Happy Memorial Day" greeting and honor their memory with an act of kindness instead!
For us in the landscaping Industry this also marks the unofficial start of summer and it is fitting that our Owner Fred Anderson went up to Maine today to collect a trailer of potatoes to bring back and distribute to people in need- a true act of kindness that we can all emulate on this Memorial Day weekend.
Thank you, Fred! You are an inspiration to all of us who work with you and know you and your unselfish acts of kindness are truly appreciated by those you help.
Additionally, a big thank you to all our dedicated team members for your tireless efforts in delighting our clients so that they can appreciate their outdoors this long weekend!
